Swine Flu Fears Spread Throughout MexicoHonestly, your risks of being killed by a lightning strike in the last five years are about 2,300 percent higher than your risk of contracting and dying from the swine or bird flu. No joke! Worldwide in only one year (2004), more than 1,170 people died from lighting strikes; and just to keep this in perspective, it appears that the regular flu, not the swine flu, has killed 13,000 in the US since January, (although there is also strong endorsement that these figures are grossly exaggerated in order to increase vaccine sales). Who stands to benefit from a massive global panic about a supposedly deadly disease, the Swine Flu? Yup, you guessed it, the pharmaceutical companies.

According to Dr. Mercola of Mercola.com “Your Fear Will Make Some People VERY Rich in Today’s Crumbling Economy. The Associated Press states that at least one financial analyst estimates up to $388 million worth of Tamiflu sales in the near future– and that’s without a pandemic outbreak. More than half a dozen pharmaceutical companies …….with a stake in flu treatments and detection, have seen a rise in their shares in a matter of days, and will likely see revenue boosts if the swine flu outbreak continues to spread”. Very curious……

The New York Times and other sources quote flu experts who are apparently vague about whether the current seasonal flu vaccine could offer any protection whatsoever in any case against this exotic mutant, besides which it would take months to create a new one anyway. Some years ago Tamiflu was investigated by the FDA who showed that a number of of the common side effects of being vaccinated with Tamiflu included many of the very symptoms you’re trying to avoid!

  • Vomiting, Diarrhea, Headache, Nausea, Fatigue, Coughing

More serious symptoms included convulsions, disorientation or hallucinations, not to mention 14 deaths in children and teens as a result of neuropsychiatric problems and brain infections. And furthermore this drug, when used as directed, according to the official data, only reduces the duration of flu symptoms by 1 to 1 ½ days anyway.

To make matters worse, some patients with influenza are at a HIGHER risk of secondary bacterial infections when on Tamiflu, and secondary bacterial infections (streptococcus) were more than likely the REAL cause of mass fatalities during the 1918 influenza pandemic not the flu symptoms themselves. So what should you do? First of all, stop listening to the media coverage and give yourself a break from all that unnecessary worry and stress.

Despite what the media would have us believe, the fact remains that the regular flu at this point in time is FAR more risky than the swine flu and were you worried about the regular flu before the media started talking this up? I have not caught flu, either bird, swine or otherwise in over a decade, and you can avoid it too, without getting vaccinated, by following these simple guidelines, and while I am not a medical practitioner, these are the procedures I have followed for years.  By keeping your immune system in optimal working order you’re far less likely to acquire an infection to begin with.

  • Avoid Hospitals and Vaccines.  Stay away from hospitals unless it’s an emergency since hospitals are a prime source for infections of all kinds, and could be one of the likeliest places you might be exposed to this new virus.
  • Avoid Sugar and Processed Foods. Sugar decreases the vigor of your immune system almost immediately, and as you likely know, a strong immune system is vital in fighting off viruses and other illness.
  • Get Enough Rest. Just like it becomes harder for you to get your everyday jobs done if you’re tired, when your body is overly drained it will be much harder for it to fight the flu.
  • Exercise. When you exercise, you increase your circulation and your blood flow throughout your body. The components of your immune system are also getting better circulated, which means your immune system has a greater chance of fighting an illness before it spreads.

But above all come up with Effective Strategies to Manage Stress. We all face a certain amount of stress every day, but if it becomes uncontrollable then your body will be less able to fight off the flu or other illnesses.  If you feel that stress is taking a toll on your health, think about buying The Anti Stress Book which is a remarkably comprehensive manual offering loads of tips and techniques, all of which are effective in relieving stress associated with work, finances, relationship or just plain day to day living! You can check it out at www.thestressbook.com

So remember, as the numbers of confirmed swine flu cases are released, keep a clear head and don’t let fear stress you out and run away with your brains.
